We’ve all seen these videos of kids squirting diet coke all over the place. For some reason it became the hot new thing. Well, okay, great if you just got your drivers license and can’t afford gasoline.
There are a couple of guys that got it right, though. Experiment #137 takes over 100 bottles of Diet Coke and a whole lot of Mentos to create a collection of fountains to rival those of Las Vegas’s Bellagio.
The music is fun, too.

93 Degrees

Finally warm enough to go outside, and I’m stuck inside a windowless computer lab.

Speaking of Being a Man
This may very well be my most tasteless post ever.
Today, I discovered the You’re in Control Urinal Game, put together as a research project at MIT.
You really have to watch the videos to fully appreciate this.
I think there’s a future in this. Companies are already marketing similar urinal games

Sweet Carolina
First thing I saw when I opened my blinds this morning was a tractor driving down the road in front of my house. Yes, I’m back in eastern North Carolina.
Tonight, my brother was helping my mom and I in the back yard as we re-potted our cacti when he got a call on his cell-phone. It was my dad calling from the front porch. He’d walked around the house about two minutes earlier and wanted to let us know where he was. He said the weather was really nice. You know, on that side of the house, too.
Well, when we finished our potting, Scott went around the house to see what Dad was up to, and Mom except as she went she also screamed when a frog crossed her path. Then I laughed as I took the cacti back inside.
Okay, i bought a little cactus from Wal-Mart today for my office. I wanted a plant and thought I might be able to keep a cactus alive. Plus, it reminds me of warmer climes. Well, I thought this cactus was very pretty with the little yellow flowers on it. Back at home, I realized the little plastic flowers were held on with hot glue. Who does that? Canadians, that’s who. Why do Wal-Mart’s cacti come from Canada?
Meanwhile, back at the homestead, my parents and our neighbors are both out in the street, talking to friends who were passing on the road. They’d stopped their vehicles (a golf cart and a rascal scooter) to chat. About twenty minutes later, we had a minor traffic back-up when a pick-up truck approached the two vehicles already stopped on the road. Things cleared up shortly. Most of the rest of the evening was spent standing on the edge of the lawn, chatting with our neighbors. A very nice night.

I’m taking off to Williamston for the weekend, so I leave you with some entertainment.
First, here’s some stuff I like from Google Video.
We need to do more of this at my office.
Pepsi – Bavarians vs. Professionals. I love polka.
And a trailer from “The Breakup” that hits close to home. ha! no picture!
Then, I offer your weekend jam!

Apache
Today’s enormous video comes to us from deep in the dark recesses of the 1970’s.
Apache Music Video (Huge: ~45Mb)
Enjoy it for the disco. Enjoy it for the dancing natives.

Good Tuesday
The results of my nationwide survey of about 11 people shows conclusively that you distrust the government. Nobody, by the way, trusts Congress. I can understand that. I do think it’s interesting, though that Congress is the only group on the list that we have a say in appointing. I’m sure there’s am implication in there somewhere.
I got in from New York Sunday. Pictures coming soon.
I understand the video of George Bush and Steve Bridges at White House Correspondents Dinner I linked to a few days ago was removed from YouTube. So I found a link that works. Try it.
