Recall

I’m just going to recommend that you NOT visit weeble-stuff.com
There’s nothing to see there. Check out the Kenya video via the provided link and enjoy your day undisturbed by such things as “breadfish.”
Hey. I try to look out for you.

Where goes ze lions? Only in Kenya!

Filed under: general — bdparker @ 3:31 pm

Since at least one of you was missing out, here’s some more funness. (How do you spell “funness?”)
Kenya! Come to Kenya!
Hopefully the guys at Weebls Stuff don’t mind me mirroring this.
NOTE: Jesse would probably like for you to know that there are actually no tigers in Kenya. Since I’ve never been there, I personally like to believe that in my Kenya there are tigers.

Recipe for dinner

Filed under: general — bdparker @ 9:06 pm

1/2 cup uncooked (dry) rice
stuff from the cabinet over the stove
1 8oz can of peas and carrots (or something similar)

In a 1 1/2 quart casserole, mix rice and stuff from top cabinet. Stuff from top cabinet might include some of these: a couple of tablespoons of EVOO, some garlic, chives, oregano, basil, lots of soul seasoning, coarse black pepper, red pepper. Add 1 cup of water to the rice mixture. Then add a little bit more. Cover the casserole and place it in the microwave. Press the “Rice” button. If your microwave doesn’t have a rice button, I can’t help you.
Go make a phone call or update your web site, vacuum or hang some posters. When the microwave goes “BEEP,” grab some hot pads and carefully remove the casserole. The dish and rice will be very hot. This is good because the peas and carrots are still cold. Drain the liquid off your vegetables in whatever way seems most appropriate to you. No need to completely dry it out, just get out the soup. (This depends a little bit on how much of the water your rice has absorbed.) Add vegetables to the rice, mix well. It’s best to do this with something like a soup spoon that you can also eat out of.
Keep those oven mits on and go sit the casserole on your computer desk so you can read The Onion while you eat.

I added another video to the download page yesterday. I’m not sure how this one got omitted initially.
This is a feature that has really changed my life.

She has a really big mouth

Filed under: general — bdparker @ 5:22 pm

I was just watching Oprah (don’t ask). Hugh Grant was one of her guests and was prompted to say something about many of the actresses he’s worked with. Of Julia Roberts, he said, “She has a really big mouth…When I was kissing her, I was aware of a faint echo.”

dinner, celsius 4111, starwars

Filed under: general — bdparker @ 8:48 pm

Dinner was good tonight. I made a pot of rice with olive oil and soul food seasoning, onion, oregano and basil. I ate most of it with chopsticks before I realized how much unnecessary work that was. Then being still hungry I microwaved a pizza.

I don’t recommend that as the best method of cooking a pizza if you want something hot and crispy. However, (there’s a clause) if you want something warm to fill you up, and you’d rather have it in 3 minutes than in 18, then I would recommend it. That was actually a pretty good pizza. Next time I’ll plan ahead and pre-heat the oven.

So what else is going on in the world?

You’re registered to vote so you can cast your ballot for George W. Bush, right?

Actually, on that note, there’s a new movie coming out tomorrow that maybe you should see. Celsius 41.11 is Citizens United’s response to Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 911. Revealing the misrepresentations and lies in Moore’s documentary, Celsius 41.11 shows President Bush as a confident leader and brings up a number of questions about Kerry’s character and background.

Hey Star Wars fans! Back in 1996 some kids made this great Star Wars musical. Okay, it was freakin’ hilarious. Unfortunately, at the time, nobody realized how great it was, so we’re not watching it today. There is a site dedicated to it, though. The entire script is there, along with some stills from the original VHS recording of the production. Here it is.

Today seemed like such a long day! I’m glad I’m home now. I’m going to spend a while working on my own computer projects.
I made two minor changes to the Aicha video. They’re probably not noticable. More to come.

What a colossal waste of time
