For a while now, if I’ve had everything running, you’ve been able to listen to what’s playing on my Winamp. I even have an RSS feed of my recently played tracks.
Now you’ve got two interfaces for controlling my Winamp from the comfort of your own home/job. Not only will you be able to listen to whatever I’m listening to, but you’ll also be able to choose what I listen to! (and how loud) For the “Winamp Control Center” you’ll need the user name “guest” and password “guest”. “Winamp Web Interface” requires no such thing. Have fun. Tell me which control panel you like better. I’ll probably leave both up anyway.
If you’re listening via Shoutcast, there could be a considerable delay. Any track changes etc. you make will take effect immediately but only get to your ears about 30 seconds later.
I for one welcome my new anonymous DJ overlords.
[ed.] Looks like the Winamp Web Interface had some bugs in it that forced me to take it down. Use the BrowseAmp Winamp Control Center from now on. (User name:guest, Password:guest)
as always, you are super awesome
