Yum-o!

Step aside enormous omelet sandwich. The King has nothing on Hardee’s new Country Breakfast Burrito. Man, that looks delicious.

More about Raleigh

Bojangles, Your House, and people that speak to you when they don’t have to.
I’m going to try to make it to the fairgrounds later. They make great belts there.

Wow. The amount of yummy tasty grease in that buscuit was epic.

Back in Raleigh Town

Cherie BerryI’m taking a vacation in Raleigh this weekend. Most of the people I knew here have moved away, but it’s still a great city. Right now I’m excited about seeing references to the inner beltline, and pictures of Cherie Berry in all the elevators.
The best thing about this weekend is probably going to be that I refused to commit to anything and can sleep as late as I want.

More For the Wish List

Tour Master Caliber PantI could use these Tour Master Caliber Pants to go with my jacket. Unfortunately, they’re a little pricey. I love the Tour Master gear. I’m probably a medium tall. I’d never considered myself tall, but recently when looking for clothes that really need to fit, I’m realizing that average height and thin makes you tall. This may be particularly true in a country where two-thirds of adults are overweight and half of those are obese.

I also need a new computer as mine died about two days ago. Don’t really know what I’m going to do there.

And some waterproof riding boots.

Pacers Old Town Tuesday Night (Costume) Fun Run

I showed up about 10 minutes late and spent the whole time trying to catch up with my pace group, but since I’ve been too busy to run for the past week, I was determined to go out. Bonus: It was the Halloween run, so about half of the group was costumed. My favorite was the three convicts and the police officer running this 5.4 mile loop around Alexandria. And I got a free t-shirt for showing up in my superhero duds.

North Alexandria/Shirlington Loop

I might start posting my running loops. It’ll at least give me a way to keep up with them.
Here is tonight’s 5.2 mile loop.

You are invited into a room. There are 10,000 boxes. One of them will kill you, the others contain $1,000. How many would you open?

This is one of the best comment threads I’ve ever seen on Reddit.
I particularly liked this snippet.

Buzz buzz buzz

Why I don’t drink coffee at home: If I’m alert enough to make coffee, then I don’t need coffee. This makes it a real challenge when I do need coffee. I can’t tell you how many times I walk down to the office coffee pot in the mornings, eyes half closed, realize I can’t just pour coffee into my cupped hands, and walk back down to my office for my mug.

Basic Training Pictures

Filed under: general — bdparker @ 9:03 am

I just put up a few pictures from the Frontline Fall Retreat which was back in September. Just a few clicks I made with my camera and a few of me riding back provided by some good friends. Thanks to Ryan for driving while Rich took pictures with Rachel’s camera. It was fun riding with y’all.
