As a treat for you, as I’m waiting for my zucchini bake to well, bake, I’m going to record my grandmother’s recipe for this thick, cake-like cornbread.

Ingredients (all approximate):

• 3/4 cups yellow corn meal (non-rising)
• 3 slices white bread
• 1 cup milk
• 1/2 stick of butter or margarine
• 1 egg
• 1 Tablespoon Sugar
• dash of salt
• dash of baking soda

Directions:

1. 2-3 hours beforehand, cover bread with milk and let soak. (This can be done for a shorter amount of time if necessary.)
2. Preheat oven to 350.
3. Melt butter or margarine.
4. While butter is melting, mix and mash bread and milk mixture well then add remaining ingredients. Mix in melted butter.
5. Add the entire mixture to a greased 9″ pie pan or baking dish.
6. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown.

I just came back from the grocery store, which means I have plenty to cook and nothing to eat. What to do?

Somebody in the building had a party last night and it woke me up. I heard all this music and people talking conatantly. So I decided to find out who it was and call the police. But that would of course require getting out of bed. So instead I fell back asleep.
Additionally, It’s rather cold today. What’s going on there?

Google finally indexed my site! I don’t know what happened, but at some point the googlebot decided that only my main page was important. There’s so much more to me than that.
